Area Beaches
Whether your need is to relax under cloudless skies,
seek treasures from the sea, or just building sand
castles, Charlotte Harbor & The Gulf Islands are
blessed with 12 1/2 miles of beaches to
accommodate you.
Englewood Beach is one of the "Brightest stars in the
area's beach constellation with pearly white sands and
ample amenities." Manasota Beach & Blind Pass Beach
are also part of the Manasota Key located on the
southwest coast.
Charlotte County operates a total of 70 recreation
areas, 5 of which are state parks and beaches. In 2005
the Florida State Park system was awarded the Gold
Medal by the National Recreation & Parks Association
and named the "Nation's Best".
